The Media Law Resource Center (MLRC) was founded in 1980 by American publishers and broadcasters to assist in protecting free press rights under the First Amendment. It is a non-profit membership association for content providers in all media, as well as their defense lawyers. Each month, the MLRC publishes the MediaLawLetter, the leading professional news source for developments in media law and policy, with reports on decisions and statutory developments. One of the popular segments featured in the MediaLawLetter is the “Ten Questions To A Media Lawyer” virtual Q&A profile. The segment offers a platform for subjects to share details about their career and practice as well as personal stories and anecdotes that are both entertaining and endearing. BHH partner Steve Baron was featured in the November 2020 segment, which provides an intimate glimpse into Steve’s Canadian roots, hobbyist magician alter ego (The Great Baroni) and history of involvement with media litigation related to the Chicago Bears.
