BHH’s Brendan Healey served on the planning committee for the 2019 Commercial Speech and the First Amendment Conference sponsored by Yale Law School’s Abrams Institute for Freedom of Speech.
The conference, which featured speakers from academia, government, law firms, and media companies, was held in New York on June 3, 2019. The conference included panels on Commercial Speech Post-NIFLA v. Becerra: Legitimate Check on Compelled Speech or Weaponization of the First Amendment?; The Consumer “Right to Know” Versus the First Amendment; and Drawing the Line Between “News” and Commercial Speech.
